Today FemFilmFans.com turns one year old and we couldn't be happier! Over the past year, we have had the opportunity to attend so many great festivals and film events, to meet and interview so many wonderful Women in Film, to discover so many films, shows and female filmmakers of which we were previously unaware, to network and make lasting connections with others fighting for the feminist cause, to grow as individuals and to learn so much about feminism, filmmaking, web design, social media and so much more.

We would like to use this happy occasion to thank all of our followers and supporters because we couldn't have made it this far without you! Below is a slideshow of some of our favorites moments from the past year of FemFilmFans (in no particular order).

A happy (belated) first anniversary, from a site that turned 12 last week! My classic Hollywood blog Carole & Co. (named for Carole Lombard, my favorite Golden Age actress, has nearly 3,900 entries -- nearly all of them by me -- as of this writing, mostly focusing on Lombard, her life and times, but classic (and modern-day) Hollywood and Los Angeles in general.

I'm also a screenwriter, having completed two romantic comedy feature scripts as well as working on a third:

* "Stand Tall!", a good-natured spin on that sci-fi sub-genre, the "giant woman" movie...although supersized leading lady Colleen Cossitt is a mere 16-foot-1 1/8 and, as she says, is here "to entertain people, not attack them." (She's a singing-dancing Vegas waitress, accidentally tripled in size and now a beloved showroom attraction.)

* "Fugitive Sweetheart," a blend of thriller and rom-com, as a new reporter at a Colorado daily suspects his paper's copy editor is an old school classmate from back east with a new identity. She is, and it's up to him and his newspaper colleagues to protect her when the ex she'd helped imprison tracks her down and vows revenge.

See you at Rom Com Fest!
